The Teddy Bear which messed with Islam.
In Khartoum, Sudan a British schoolteacher is now in jail. Because of allowing one of her student to name a teddy bear after the M-word (Mohammed). She was arrested under charges of blasphemy. She now has to suffer 15 days in jail. Neither of the child's parents had any thing wrong with the name. They found it to be a common and normal name. The Sudanese government said to the U.K that they will be in good care.
1. It is amazing how this got so far. I guess Sudan forgot about its genocide and decided to start imprisoning people for blasphemy. I sure hope no one names a teddy bear Mary, Jesus, or Joseph. Or they are due to some time.
2. Why would the Sudanesse govenment care in the first place. The parent are alright with it. And that should be the major defence. Plus, its not like the teacher forced the child to name his teddy bear after the M-word (Mohammed).
